Ahhh Good Stuff...

Sitting down at my computer this morning to write & I became overwhelmed by all the GOOD STUFF in my life. The small, the huge & the in between, they all mean something special to me.

When you're having a conversation with someone fabulous
 & all you can focus on is the
reflection of warm palm trees in their sunglasses.
Ahhhh GOOD STUFF.

When the odds stacked against you
 are so HIGH
 that you can't even see the road,
 but your foot
 is still firmly
on the gas pedal.

When the sun hits your shoulders &
you know that winter will soon be a distant memory.

Country Post Offices &
 the way they remind me of childhood
& the excitement of pen pal notes.
 Oh the magic of
handwritten
 letters.

Meeting someone
 for the first time &
instantly knowing
that you will
most likely
 be friends for a lifetime.

And all the GOOD STUFF
I wasn't looking for,
but somehow
found it's way into my day...

This morning I am sure I am not alone in my current all out CRUSH on The FAB 4. What is it about The Beatles?  Watching the CBS Beatles 50 year Ed Sullivan anniversary special, I was not only blown away by the amazing musicianship & performances, but also reminded of the meaning behind the melody...  And I believe it all boils down to 
FUN! 

 Simple.   Old Fashioned.   FUN.

 It's FUN & it's JOY & it's laughter. 

 It's lighthearted boyish charms & not taking one's self too seriously.

 It's smiles & hugs & memories.
It's Ringo Starr's Peace Hands dance & McCartney's Rainbow Piano..

  It's the beauty of life, all the good & the bad.  Truly feeling it all & not running away from any of it, but rather turning it into beautiful experiences through melody to be relived & enjoyed over & over again.  A journey created through rewind, replay & repeat, while we harmoniously tap tap tap our feet.

So today I'm wishing you the kind of laughter, LOVE & JOY that only music can provide.

Discovering a song  that was actually a  HIT like over a year ago, but NOW it's the coolest song on the planet because YOU just heard it for the first time.

Orange juice in those tiny little retro drinking glasses that have pictures of oranges on them..

Friends who laugh at your jokes even when you forget the punch line & then talk in super annoying circles trying to explain WHY you forgot it.

Habitual Door Openers, Manners & people who throw around the word "Thank you" like smooth sweet butter on homemade biscuits.  It's a beautiful thing.
