The GOOD Stuff!

THE GOOD STUFF

When you fully realize you have zero skills at something new

(like photography or cooking)

 but you don't care.

  YEP.
Just Click It.

The squishy first barefoot steps

 you take in the grass

after a looooong winter..

That sick/happy/scared/great

feeling when you know there's a

HUGE chance
you will fall on your face &
millions of people might laugh at you
 but
 you're
 gonna
try it
 anyway.

That instant, when someone is
Sharing their happiness with you

& you feel your own heart
start beating faster out of
excitement

Just for

them

When a stranger asks for directions & you actually know the answer..

Understanding that vinyl

 may never make a comeback,

 but your own

comeback

ability

is

Infinite

That ZERO pause feeling when you move in to help,
Or
Catch
someone

The actualization that even if you wanted to, there is no way, no time & not enough paper in the world to list all

 the beautiful

possibilities
for
your
future

Wishing you All The Good Stuff Today!

The Beauty of Now

"Happiness is the only good. The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is here. The way to be happy is to make others so. " Robert Green Ingersoll
Wishers do a lot of thinking into the future.
We do a lot of Dorothy heel clicking & determination style hoping.
Lots of hold your breath kinda dreamin' while we're watching sunsets & falling stars.
It's that ALL fingers crossed belief that it will all turn out the way we plan.
I'm beginning to wonder if all that wishing has a way of stealing away the effervescent lucidity of the present.
D A Y S    H A P P E N
They are alive in movement, energy, purpose & our very breath..
Whether they look the way we wish them to or not
So Today I Vow
I vow to wish less & live more.

I  Vow t
o find all the beauty of Now
RIGHT
NOW
because,

every breath is precious
& every day is another chance.

To all those directly affected by the horrific & senseless violence in Boston, may love light the way to healing.

BIG HAIR LOVE

"A Mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie."

Tenneva Jordan
When I saw this fashion editorial shot I absolutely couldn’t STOP laughing!!  It reminds me so much of a photograph of my mom, sister & I from my childhood.  We were all dressed up for some event..I think possibly my sister’s 8th grade graduation.  My mom had decided to curl all of our hair & BACK COMB it into a bouffant style & take a picture of just the three us! Oooooo HOURS spent on this hair do idea.  Apparently, from the outcome of the photo?   I was NOT having it…tears rolling down my very red eyes… NO ONE was smiling. My sister looks traumatized in her long yellow sundress, braces & BIG HAIR , I'm a 6 year old mess with fallen curls & my mom?  Well, she just looks disheveled, completely exhausted & annoyed. But our hair? Yep! Pretty much looks Identical!!
So hysterical to look at it now!!
I’m sure mom doesn’t think it’s quite as funny, but she always goes along. She always says “Well, I thought it would be fun if we all had the same hair do!!”
How sweet is that?
I adore her..
Secretly, It's one of my favorite family photos ever
