"Streetlight People"

The music was loud, the kind of loud that's almost too loud for a public shopping space, but at the same time just loud enough to keep the energy high & customer's spirits up while waiting in a long checkout line.  I noticed her first...striped purple & black hair & an Anime backpack, she maneuvered her way to the front of the line in her over sized chunky black combat boots & a bad religion t shirt.   All of 15, she was brooding & deliberate as her new found spot in line found her directly beside Mr. Snappy Sports Jacket.  Mr. Snappy Sports Jacket was approximately 65 years of age with a fabulous head of silver hair & a bright green polka dot tie. He possessed the faintest scent of POLO by Ralph Lauren, a noticeable look of dismay for Combat Girl & a very expensive pair of dress shoes.

As the two stood side by side awaiting their purchases of  birthday cards & a "Kiss me I'm Irish" headband,  Journey began to play.  As Steve Perry sang "Just a Small town Girl livin in a lonely world",  I watched in utter amazement as Miss Combat Boots & Mr. Ralph Lauren suddenly began to sing at the exact same moment, both completely oblivious of the other's sing-along status, both in complete unison & surprisingly in key!  It was one of those moments where you look for the hidden camera behind you because it feels too good to be real.  A moment to stop & smile, I would say to yourself,  but I actually smiled out loud.
I smiled the kind of smile that made me remember how completely odd, surreal & amazing life can be ..
We're all connected, no matter how different we appear.

True life is better than any fiction

And the timelessness of a band as great as Journey??    Indisputable

Moons, Stars & The Infinity of ONE

"Aim for the moon. If you miss?
 You may hit a star"
W. Clement Stone

Jupiter has 66 moons!  The proud owner of the largest number of moons, having more orbits than any other planet within The Solar System.  That's an astonishing thought & a delightfully overwhelming idea now isn't it?  I, however,  must admit I am barely able to fully experience the breathtaking beauty of one moon on any one given night.  Spying on the moon is an event I look forward to, something I treasure with sheer serenity.  Yep, serenity & a loooooong deep breath at the end of the evening.  A primal kinda *sigh* to remind me that I am small...to remind me that all of my worries? All of my frets? All of my shoulda coulda wouldas?  Oh, yess! The moon has already seen 'em, heard 'em, watched 'em all unfold a million times before and it never ceases to keep on shining.  Shinin' right through it all.
66 of them? Hmmmm possibly an endless beauty beyond measure, or maybe there is more power in one..??
Thinking tonight about the beauty of One.
The special of One.
The joy of One.
How much there is to learn from One.
The Mystery of One.
The Energy of One.
One unstoppable belief.
One moment.

One Awesome Cute pair of shoes...
One positive thought.

One kind word.

One act of love.
One beating Heart
The Beautiful Infinity of Just One
